Even if you were to tell yourself, "Today, I'm going to drink coffee the wrong way...from a dirty boot." Even that would be right, because you chose to drink coffee from that boot.
Because you can do nothing wrong. You are always right.
Even when you say "I'm such an idiot, I'm so wrong...", you're right. You're right about being wrong. You're right even when you're an idiot.
No matter how stupid your idea...you're doomed to be right because its yours.

Spoons
I can't live without you. Meiji coconut yogurt. HALp. Yes that is also an angry birds spoon, it is my favourite yogurt eating spoon. I like this spoon because of the texture of how the yogurt slides off the plastic surface of the spoon. It has a very nice feel.

23 monday.
3:45pm
I saw her as she walked towards me. She came over to say hi, something was different about her. Something about the way she carried herself. We used to braid dried sage and burn them to cleanse our energy field. We spoke, there were pockets of silence. I said ok lets talk sometime again. My eyes never left hers. From the corner of my eye, she had a cast on her leg. I said bye. I forgot to ask her about what happened to her leg.
5:45pm
He asked whether I could listen to him now. I said, sure, I'm all ears. He told me about the man who lives in the mountains. The man is hairy and he is afraid of Red. I asked him is that why he is in a red shirt, and he said yes.
6:00pm
It started to rain. He offered me three umbrellas. I said I only need one, so I picked the red one. Now the mountain man can't come near me.
7:40pm
"Caleb you are handsome and sexy!"
"Mom! I am handsome, but I am not sexy!"
"yes you are! You are so sexy!"
"Mom! I am not sexy!! I am not a girl!Only girls can be sexy!"
*SHOUTS FROM THE KITCHEN: MOM!! HE IS JUST 5!*
"I'm sorry son. I'm sorry my love"
9:00pm
Can I tell you a secret: I used one damage to cure the other.
Ok, go.
It was a good day, and thats all to it.
On days like this, I feel like I can conquer everything and anything.

midnight thoughts
One song that I really love is the Theme from Schindler's List. It is absolutely beautiful. Today I played it together with my mother. Me on the violin, mother on the piano. I am most happy when people come together to make music, even more so if its classical. I have a soft spot for that. Is it too much to ask for a man who plays classical piano so we can sit in the middle of our humble house with a beautiful (black) grand piano and we'll fill all corners of the house with beautiful sounds and colors from different tunes after a scrumptious home cooked meal of ravioli and cheese and Meiji coconut flavoured yogurt as desert. How absolutely delightful!!! .......And then after, we will either play Call of Duty or Raving Rabbids...depending on the mood.

Dear Future Self
Dear Future Self,
it is I from 20/2/15. Remember that time when you were in London and you were feeling bored and you went ahead with an undercut on both sides of your head? You remember that? Great, because now I, presently, I am paying the price for it. I am writing this to tell You of Future Self, to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. PLEASE!! I am almost begging you. If you're bored, watch any George Cloony movie and you'll feel better again. Please don't do anything stupid that involves cutting your hair or shaving your head. Also, I of Present Self has decided that you of Future Self shall never cut your fringe again.
Please try to follow orders, doing this for your own good.
Love,
Present Self.

Embroidering outdoors by the water, and the sun accompanied by the wind. It is an absolutely wonderful feeling...except for being sunburn of course. So slap on lots of sunscreen and wear a hat if ever you want to do this in Singapore.
Goatilocks
Its Chu Yi, the first day of Chinese New Year.
And since its the year of the Goat, I brought my Goat Friend around visiting too. I named him Goatilocks for convenience sake. I feel sorry for Goati that he didn't get to meet as many people as he wanted to...I only had one family to visit and that was all. But its a good thing because I was also feeling tired. I've been feeling giddy the whole day, so I told my brothers to take care of Goati if I should accidentally leave him somewhere...but that never happened of course.
So, it has been a long day of answering questions like "when are you going to get married" and "when are you going to find a boyfriend" and "why do you look like a 15 year old". Goati feels traumatised after today, and frankly, I am too... So we are going to have an early night and hopefully feel better tomorrow morning.
Goat night.

Reunion Dinner and a sock
Its Chinese New Year, again.
I always look forward to this simple feast prepared by my mom and my house helper. We're the kind of family that never really eat together everyday or even at all, so coming together to eat feels nice...sort of. I'm not very traditional as well, I mean, we don't have much family here in Singapore...so theres not a lot of people to visit. Its more like a time to just hang out as a family and sleep and eat a lot. Also, lots of shops are closed because everyone is celebrating Chinese New Year. So theres really nothing much to do this week...I shall catch up on my reading and embroidery. I've stocked up on my favourite Meiji Coconut Yogurt so I can stay at home for the rest of the week. NO PROBLEM.
Happy Chinese New Year to you!
Huat ah~~~~~
Btw as I was ending this post I suddenly remembered my dream from last night. I think the tension between me and my parents is building up to the point where I dreamt that I shouted at them "I WISH I WAS NEVER BORN" and then in an instant, I turned into a sock. A screaming sock. So I woke up screaming. But actually socks can't scream. So ... what a weird dream.

My week of food
One thing I love about being in Singapore is that there is such a large variety of food everywhere, and almost everything is so yummy. Heres my week, in food. This is not a food blog, these are just my thoughts, so...
1) Chicken Rice
Where: Somewhere along Princep Street, I don't know the address.
Price: SGD$3.50
Thoughts while eating: I only have 15mins to eat. Why are there so many pigeons on the other table. I hope they never come near me, I hate pigeons. omg they are staring at me. I need to eat this at top speed and leave.
2) Garlic Kani Fried Rice
Where: Sakae Sushi Tepanyaki
Price: SGD$5
Thoughts while eating : *silent orchestral fireworks exploding inside my tummy* This is so good, should I offer it to my friends to try? They are asking me to try. Should I share? What Would Jesus Do?
3) Creamy Lobster Bisque
Where: Soup Stock Tokyo (313)
Price: SGD$12
Thoughts while eating: I only have 15mins to eat. oh I really hope these chunks in the soup are lobster dices and not onions because I hate onions.
4) Prawn Zi Char
Where: Somewhere along Farrer Park.
Price: I am not sure.
Thoughts while eating: I hope I packed my antihistamine in my bag, because hell is about to break loose.
5) Poached Eggs with honey baked ham + muffin
Where: Oriole
Price: SGD$15
Thoughts while eating: Should I eat with one hand and use the other hand to prop my book up so I can read? Or should I put my book down and eat with both hands? And what time is it, why is Colin not here yet.
6) Subway Teriyaki Chicken + Egg Mayo + cheddar cheese + no vegetables
Where: Subway
Price: SGD$11
Thoughts while eating: I only have 15mins to eat this. Should I walk and eat? But what if a pigeon attacks me?

Konbanwa
Valentines day was so awesome, I reconnected with my love for food. Its a day to eat whatever you want (including junk and chocolate coated raisins) with friends you love. Buy whatever you want, do whatever you want, go wherever you want, buy things for people on impulse, wrap it up in lovely paper and say I LOVE YOU! I think I was unstoppable. It went something like that...
My bank account: hoe, don't do it.
Me: why not.
My bank account: you're not thinking, don't do it.
Me: yah.
My bank account: no...no..dont do it.
Me: DONE. IM GOING TO ITALY.
My bank account: oh my god.

simple pleasures.
Worked on some casual embroidery pieces for fun with Lu tonight.
So nice to just sit down, relax, keep your mind blank, sip cold turmeric tea, listen to the wind and the trees rustle in harmony, talk about life and everything in general, listen to beautiful music and debussy while we stitch and embroider. So nice right, especially after a long day.

Count the wrinkles on each other's stomach.
Put a canvas on the wall of your

Take time to read
Reading: do llamas fall in love.
In the midst of a busy day, decided to sit down at a quiet spot to read and eat a sandwich. I usually like to read for about 1hr, but my phone kept going off!! T_T it's such a busy month, I can't wait to do nothing again...
My blog viewership has also skyrocketed like super crazy, I'd never imagine so many people reading my words and thoughts, I'm so astonished. But Hello to you new readers. I hope you had a good day.

China Town
"For I force my mind to become self-absorbed and not let outside things distract it." - Seneca
How was your day.
Mine went like this:And my favourite photo of today has got to be these 2 Japanese kids. Absolutely lovely kids caught in their moment.
I am totally dreading this week to be honest. I have so many things to do and places to be at, I want to just watch a movie, go for a nice dinner, a concert, or even just read the books that I bought (I've been buying wayyyy too many books now) .T_T I can't wait for Chinese New Year, I mean, since I don't have much family here to visit, CNY is usually done in 3 hours for me...so that means I have a mini 3 day holiday to catch up on some readings and tv shows. Yay.

Out of here~
Whilst talking to my Oma over Skype just now, I realised that I miss her and Opa so much and she was like "oh when are you going to come over and help me plant some flowers...when are we going to Munich...when are we going this and that" OMG I need to get out of Singapore now. I just spent one hour looking at flights out of here, I am so afraid I might do something impulsive like just book a flight out to Germany tomorrow. I know that I am very very capable of that.
Then I remembered this movie scene where the lead actress literally froze her credit cards in the freezer in a block of ice... so to get to it she had to either wait for it to melt or physically try to break it. And then whilst waiting, she'll either not want to buy what she wanted to buy anymore, or just collapse out of exhaustion. I THINK I NEED TO DO THAT. I just told my maid to hide my card. Give it back to me tomorrow!!! But for now!! Please help me!!! hide it!!
Work trips are great because I get to travel, but at the moment I will be in Singapore. So does anybody wants to pack me in a container and ship me to somewhere exotic? I totally wouldn't mind. :D
Speaking of which, I am extremely thrilled that my travel embroidery series is getting a lot of media attention online. Its absolutely exciting for me and I am so extremely encouraged by everyones kind words. Thank you for your lovely words and support!! This month I will be working on adding Singapore to my Sew Wanderlust series. I mean, since I'm here for awhile I should just make use of my time here before I fly off to somewhere else. Which might be Japan and then Korea and then Germany & Paris in June and then NY in December. I am extremely stoked. I HOPE I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY. Can I sell brownies to raise funds for my travels? Do airlines except tears as payment? Can I pay in tears?

DIY: photo /inspiration/memory board
Hi y'all. Hows the weekends. Mine was so hectic.
The whole house is in a mess, my room is in a mess, everything is in a mess. My family is in a mess. Everybody is in a mess. omgggg.
So anyway, because my room is freshly painted, I can't really stick stuff on my wall anymore because the paint will peeeeeel. T_T
So I tried this instead!
What you'll need:
Colored twine to match your wall (SGD$7.99 from TYPO)
Small mini pegs (SGD$6 from TYPO)
Nails (ask for nails for concrete wall)
Hammer
NAIL AWAY. I hit my thumb twice, but its okay, I have a strong thumb. It survived.
Keep nailing until you're happy and then start using the twine to form a geometric web like that.
And then just start clipping stuff on!
Can even hang my necklaces and accessories. HAPPY.
At least one part of my room is organised...SORT OF.
Ok! Happy organising! :)
Morning Writing #01
I always do this thing called Morning Writing, when my brain is still fuzzy from whatever went on during my sleep, so I sit down for 5 mins to write whatever that comes to mind. It is a great exercise to train your mind to be fluid...idk how to explain it, but try it! Don't control what you're writing, just write whatever comes to mind. ok?

This week has been so freakin crazy because everything is displaced. I couldn't even find my laptop, my passport, it was so mad. I wanted to leave the country, but WHERE IS MY PASSPORT. I don't feel like talking much, so I shall leave you with photos. It has been a long day......................................................
